There is an unbelievable amount of power in kindness. Being kind not only makes the world a much better place, but it can also make you feel more connected with humanity and it can make your soul feel at peace. Being kind is a skill that requires courage and strength. Words associated with kindness include empathy, decency, compassion, gentleness, understanding, goodheartedness, mercy, patience, and so on. Our country and our world needs so much more of these traits. Kindness should be a core value for every person.


Kindness: the quality of being generous, helpful, and caring about other people, or an act showing this quality.


A world with not enough kindness creates hate, division, lack of empathy, lack of compassion, and quite frankly a lack of caring. There are so many people that honestly just don't care about things that matter. So many people that don't even try to understand or hear a view that is different from theirs. To be a kind person, it doesn't mean to only be kind to those that think similar to you. It doesn't mean to be kind only when you want to. No matter what, every single being deserves to be treated with kindness and decency. Just because you don't agree with someones life choices doesn't mean that they should be treated like they are worthless or nothing. They are still a human being that has feelings and a soul just like all of us.


Diversity and inclusion: giving value to every human being, no matter our differences.


There are many different ways to practice kindness. Open your eyes and notice when you see others suffering or in need. A random act of kindness can turn someone's whole day around or maybe even their whole life around. Say a kind word to someone, give compliments, show people that you care about them, hold the door open for a stranger, smile when you walk next to someone in the store, show up for people. Be kind to strangers. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to people who are not kind to you. Kill them with kindness. Just spread kindness wherever you go. Our world is in desperate need of this.


With kindness comes empathy. Empathy is also something that our world and our country is in desperate need of. Empathy allows you to step into someone else's shoes and it gives us the ability to emotionally understand what other people are feeling even though we may have never been through the same experiences.


Empathy: the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another.

It seems like our society has almost completely lost the importance and extreme value of kindness. I said this in my about me page, but I think it needs to be said again here. I believe that all of the issues our world is facing right now come straight down to lacking empathy and kindness. At the end of the day, we all really need to do better. We have so much potential to be better humans. We need to show compassion and generosity and love to every single living being.


Life is too short to spread hate. We can do better. JUST BE KIND. ALWAYS. IT MATTERS.

Hey! Thanks for being here! If you follow me on social media then you know that I'm pretty passionate about a lot of things right now. And if you really know me, then you know that social media has never been my thing and I used to stress about posting anything. So for me to be posting the things that I have recently, you know that this is a big deal for me. I felt like it was a good idea for me to start a blog to express my passion in a different outlet. I've just felt sort of a calling to educate and spread awareness about deeper issues going on in the world. There are things that are much deeper than all of us and I just want to help bring peace and understanding to this messed up place we're at in history right now. This country and this world needs a great deal of healing.


How can so many not understand what is truly happening in today's society and the damage that we're doing to the earth??


I know that so many topics have turned partisan, and honestly I can't blame you for that. I think that we need to normalize growth and the realization that there are so many things that shouldn't be partisan. They're important issues that should matter to all of us. It is perfectly okay to change your mind. It doesn't mean that you have become "liberal" it means that you have gained empathy, compassion, understanding and knowledge. You have become aware of the harsh truth's that we're facing. It's easy to sit back and act like nothing is happening when we can't "see" what's happening, but if more people took the time to truly educate themselves we could make the world a much better place.


This blog is going to be a new outlet for me to express my thoughts and research on climate change, intersectional environmentalism, spreading more kindness, human rights, and also just to talk about what I'm feeling and my life. My goal is to spread awareness and give you resources on ways that we can all make a difference and strive towards a better future for everyone that lives on this beautiful place that we call home.

I keep seeing posts that people assume that we blindly voted for Biden solely because we don’t like Trump. While I didn’t solely vote for Biden because of this, anti-hate played a huge role in it. My decision of who to vote for was not to follow a “trend” or just to vote “anti-Trump.” These are some of the things that I voted for:

Basic human rights: LGBTQ+ rights, women's rights, black lives and systemic racism, DACA recipients, immigrants, healthcare, etc. Social justice is the best cure for rioting. When there are millions of people around the world asking for change, it shouldn’t be ignored.


Climate: there is an existential threat facing humanity and people are still choosing to ignore it and choosing profit over the planet. When it’s something that threatens our existence, I’m not sure how it ever became political.


Science & COVID: Science is not partisan. we should TRUST scientific facts. We are in the middle of a pandemic and our current president acts like nothing is happening and he completely disregards the 225,000+ lives that were lost and also the surge that’s happening. If we have to do another lockdown to save lives, let’s do it with dignity and respect. If wearing a mask is could help save lives, be decent and wear one. It’s a health crisis not a political one.


Democracy: Trump has set this election up so that his supporters believe that their is voter fraud happening. In reality it’s a legitimate process and research has proved that it is very rare. He is threatening our democratic rights and is refusing to accept that the American people have voiced that we want change.

For me, this election wasn’t about just myself or one party or one candidate. It was about the lives of others and making sure that we have a future we can be proud of for everyone that lives here. I appreciate everyone having different political views, but I don’t think the things that I listed should be political views. These are things that go much deeper than politics and they are things that should matter to all of us. Diversity and inclusion of each and every individual is what makes our country great. Everyone deserves to have equal rights and to be treated with dignity and respect. Our country is more divided than ever and this is our opportunity to make a better future for ALL Americans. It seems like we have lost empathy and respect for one another. You don’t have to like Joe Biden. Everyone knows that he is not perfect, but for the sake of our country have some respect and faith in him. Have faith that Biden will do great things because despising him doesn’t help anything. We can do better than this. Try to see a different perspective and understand that our country is in deep need of healing and we all need to come together. We can’t move forward being so divided on everything. We are stronger united than we are divided. Kindness and decency matters.
